At a young age I had a keen desire to learn about how the body worked, what happened if it stopped working properly and most importantly, how to help fix it. I considered becoming a nurse, GP, surgeon or dietician, driven by the desire to help people through a thorough understanding of the human body. Although my interest in nutrition remains, I was inspired by chiropractors that taught me in my first year of science and I decided to transfer to the chiropractic degree.
Right from the beginning I loved it. I discovered as a chiropractor you have the privilege to work directly with patients, using the diagnostic knowledge and practical skills learned over 5 years to treat, educate and rehabilitate patients on conditions such as low back pain, disc injuries, sciatica, neck pain, headaches, sport injuries, knee pain and overuse injuries, to name only a few.
At this time, I was significantly helped by my chiropractor as I experienced frequent headaches and migraines plus pain and numbness in my hand when driving for more than 10 minutes. I also had chest pain and low back pain with referral into my foot. However, with careful assessment and appropriate care I now rarely get headaches/migraines, and all other symptoms have resolved.
As your chiropractor, I’m passionate about providing care that is tailored to you and will take a thorough approach to ensure you are achieving your health goals.
I have special interests in paediatrics, pregnancy, and nutrition, and in addition to working as a chiropractor I currently teach at Macquarie University and enjoy running, reading and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to meeting you!
